Spring Couture Review #1

The Spring Couture season has sprung upon us all, and things started off with two of the most influential, well respected and high-end brands in the fashion scene.

Yesterday we were all dazzled upon the show Dontella delivered to us all. The Versace Atelier Couture collection is always one collection many of us all get our hopes up for and are always left in complete awe. I always tell friends, “if I was to ever get married, I would have a dress code at my wedding: Men would be in Dolce & Gabbana suits and women would be in, well of course, Versace Couture.” Here are my favorite Couture dresses displayed yesterday in Paris from the Atelier Versace collection. This year I found Dontella edging into a fur look with the couture dresses. I loved the Versace Atelier Couture collection this year, the runway setup, the collection, the show, everything about it! The collection was also very bright and colorful, although Dontella did have some black couture dresses as well. Black couture dresses will always be a must, no matter the brand couture collection. Below are my four favorite Versace Atelier Couture dresses in no significant order:

Earlier today Dior had displayed its Spring Couture 2013 collection in Paris. To call this Paris fashion house well known for its couture dresses would be a massive understatement. To begin, the Dior runway setup was beautiful this year. A flawless white runway with lots of bushes on the sides, which resembled a simplified maze, that ultimately made the Dior dresses stand out all the more so. ¬†Something very different about this year’s Dior Couture show was what the fashion house did with the models’ lips. Some of the models on the runway had very small, red colored sparkled beads on their lips. Here are my four favorite dresses from this years Dior Couture collection, again, in no order of favouritism:
