Banksy has been caught on CCTV a few times. Banksy's spotters claim to know the artist's true identity fairly regularly. Recurring themes in his work are violence, violence against women, sexual violence and the use of violence as a means of expression.

Banksy as an Artist

Banksy's work has been repeatedly equated with vandalism, and many have called for his prosecution, but he has never been convicted of a crime. Bansky is just an ordinary vandal who corrupts the principles of society by painting street paintings. His choice of theme, coupled with the fact that the paint is typically sprayed on public walls, leads to the perception that he is where he is.
