Beeple - Artist Profile

Beeple is a digital artist, he's created physical work but what he's famous for are his NFT's. He makes electronic artwork --pixels screens depicting eccentric, funny, funny, and at times gruesome images. He smashes collectively pop culture, technology, and postapocalyptic terror to blistering commentaries on how we live.

On the afternoon Jeff Bezos declared that he was hanging himself upstairs, Beeple envisioned the Amazon creator as a gigantic, threatening octopus appearing in the sea as military helicopters circled above ("Publish the Bezos").

Among the very disruptive facets of the NFT marketplace is that artists don't need the middlemen of galleries and auction houses to market their functions, though prices are payable into the sites which mint NFTs. Hierarchies are emerging one of NFT marketplaces.

Since Winkelmann points out:"Anyone can sell items on Rarible and OpenSea, you may simply go on the market and get started creating accounts. However, the matter with Nifty isthat it is a gatekeeper. They're just carrying six or seven musicians each week and the waiting list is extended."

Who is Beeple?

Beeple is Mike Winkelmann, a graphic designer from Charleston, SC, USA who does a variety of digital artwork including short films, Creative Commons VJ loops, everydays and VR / AR work. After he began releasing a set of widely used Creative Commons VJ loops he has worked on concert visuals for Justin Bieber, One Direction, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Eminem, Zedd, deadmau5 and many more.

After he began releasing a set of widely used Creative Commons VJ loops he has worked on concert visuals for Justin Bieber, One Direction, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Eminem, Zedd, deadmau5 and many more. One of the originators of the current "everyday" movement in 3D graphics, he has been creating a picture everyday from start to finish and posting it online for over ten years without missing a single day.

Beeple is notorious for using a variety of mediums in producing humorous, phantasmagoric functions that generates political, social opinion whilst utilizing pop culture characters as references. Everydays: the initial 5000 Days, a collage of pictures from his"Everydays" series, sold for $69,346,250 on March 11, 2021, which makes it the third- most priciest artwork with a living artist.

The NFT (Non-Fungible Token) space has played a huge roll in Beeple's rise to fame in the art world. He's been a digital artist for years not, as well as a traditional artist. He had a small solo show in Toronto, Canada a few years back. But Beeple rise to extreme fame came when NFT's became "mainstream". Claiming the rights to the most expensive NFT ever sold yet, sort of helps also.

Beeple, the current King of NFT's

The heading speaks for itself, Beeple is currently the KING of NFT's and it looks like he will be for the next while. His digital artwork has been fetching huge numbers. He set the record back in October 2020 for the higest sold NFT at $6.6 Million, titled "Crossroads". The big question is, was BEEPLE a one hit wonder?
