BANKSY BIO
What we do know is that the artist is from Bristol, where he first created his works in the city. Banksy was born in 1974, and although his identity is well-guarded, he has caught the eye in recent years for his unique style of graffiti. The anonymous "British graffiti artist," as he is known, often does his graffiti in public places.
In the 2000s he developed a method of communicating his anti-authoritarian message through the use of various forms of graffiti such as spray paint, spray paint and graffiti paint.
After Banksy had previously worked largely freehand, at the end of the 19th century he switched to stencil works, the work of which is now largely recognized as his work. He adopted the name "Banksy" in order to conceal his identity from prying eyes and essentially avoid arrest for illegal artistic activities. Banksy was heavily influenced by his father, who, like him, used stencil patterns to create his works.
Banksy's work has been repeatedly equated with vandalism, and many have called for his prosecution, but he has never been convicted of a crime.
Despite his complete anonymity, Banksy is an artist and activist living in England, whose identity around the world is still shrouded in secrecy, an identity that, however, does not prevent him from participating in a variety of activities. He creates complex street art by using the cloak of darkness to preserve his anonymity. Like many others, his art is an agenda - a certain label, but not necessarily the result of his intentions.
In the 1990s, the street artist, activist, and filmmaker successfully hid his identity as Banksy from the police and London's Metropolitan Police. He is one of the most sought-after artists in the world of graffiti art today and the subject of a number of films and television shows.
